Shurima was a land home to a once-mighty civilization now buried by sand. Although no one sees any future in that region, the stories tell of the return of their great Emperor, who will restore the lands. Welcome to a quick guide to the Best Azir Skins in League of Legends.
Azir fights on the rift by wielding the power of the desert itself. The champion has a unique mechanic that ties almost all his usefulness to his ability to summon temporary sand soldiers to fight. Although this mechanic makes the champion challenging to master, it also feels satisfying to execute well.
In League of Legends, Azir has 5 skins when writing this post, and I will give a quick summary of each.
5. Galactic Azir
Galactic Azir has no skin lore. Also, it is the oldest skin on the champion.
This skin tries to capture an image of the champion as a galactic emperor. While it does an excellent job of dressing him like one, it lacks the effects to accentuate this perspective further.
However, Galactic Azir adds a unique recall animation, summoned turret and soldier effects.
4. SKT T1 Azir
Riot released this skin to celebrate Easyhoon’s 2015 League of Legends World Championship performance.
As expected, SKT T1 Azir swaps out the champion’s base effects and appearance for one with the club’s theme and logo. The skin also stands out as one of the most colourful Azir skins because of its iconic blue and gold particles.
One notable feature of this skin is the armour of summoned soldiers. Instead of a desert-themed ancient style, the soldiers rock modern clothes with hoodies, face caps, and school bags.
It also has a unique recall animation.
3. Gravelord Azir
Gravelord Azir commands the undead legion of the underworld in his conquest of the Living. Although the skin looks like it belongs in the Death Sworn universe, we are yet to find an official tie between them.
In line with its name, Gravelord Azir has a harrowing and foreboding theme which makes it the least flashy of all his skins.
However, this feature also makes it one of the smoothest of the Best Azir Skins and the least distracting.
The skin also adds a unique recall animation amidst other effects.
2. Warring Kingdoms (Legacy)
The Lunar Revel: Warring Kingdoms tales tell how Emperor Azir left his domain high in the mountains to intervene in the conflict driving other kingdoms against one another.
Warring Kingdom Azir easily comes first as the most colourful Azir skin because of its radiant theme and Oriental effects.
It also has the best recall animation and shield effect of the best Azir skins.
If you prefer a mixture of smooth particles and beautifully designed gameplay and effects, this is the skin for you.
1. Elderwood Azir
Elderwood Azir has risen to defend the sentient forest that has been his home for ages. However, the stories reveal that the form he has taken does not reflect the real being within.
Apart from its ancient forest theme and effects, Elderwood Azir also has one of the best ability clarity of all his skins.
Experience the Emperor as a part of something more ancient than the Coven and probably the Old Gods.
Fun Fact: While other Azir skins leave his sceptre behind after death, Elderwood Azir does not. The champion vaporizes with his sceptre.
That brings us to the end of our quick guide to the Best Azir Skins. Since all his skins are reasonably priced, it is safe to say picking any of them aside from Galactic Azir will give you your money’s worth.
