While Epic Games has only released one map for Fortnite: Battle Royale, it has changed quite a bit throughout the years. Each season brings fresh features and a slight redesign of the single map. Dusty Depot was devastated by a comet in Season 4, giving rise to a new place called Dusty Divot and fitting in with the game’s overall heroic theme.
Season 5 of Fortnite has begun (on July 12), and the topic of how the game’s environment will evolve due to the addition of a desert biome and the enhancement of other locales naturally follows. A new map may be made available in the future, though. If so, how might that manifest itself?
This beginner’s tutorial will teach you the fundamentals of battle royale and give you the tools you need to increase your chances of coming out on top. Additionally, you may check out the new Season 5 clothes, back bling, contrails, and gliders.
1. The Volcano Map
Fortnite’s building mechanics set it distinct from other battle royale games. They’re great for speedy combat, but it would be much cooler to use them throughout the running phase of a battle to get past obstacles.
You could introduce additional planning and physical activity by using a massive volcano Fortnite Creative Map that includes peaks, chasms, and lava tunnels. You could change Battleground distances with a volcano-themed map.
Cave final circles at close range, magma chamber final circles at long range, hilltop-to-hilltop clashes like those seen currently, and small island skirmishes in the lake at the map’s base are all possible scenarios. Although Epic has proven itself adept at staging well-orchestrated events like the latest rocket launch, why not take things to the next level by adding in some element of chance?
The lava chamber is empty and vast in one match, while another has a lava tube that opens and floods the map. The emergence of chasms across dimensions opens up a vast field for chance occurrences. The timeline of the volcano map is open, spanning from the present to the Jurassic.
2. Fighting In A Post-Apocalypse
Epic is free to take Fortnite in any thematic way it sees fit. The original Save The World mode’s premise, fending off the undead and mutant monsters, lends itself naturally to a post-apocalyptic setting for a fresh map.
Additionally, this would be more than just a facelift. Avoiding adversaries and the deadly storm is already exciting, but adding radiation zones may spice things up. You could randomly select the irradiated zones to add even more suspense, much like the storm.
A big shock would be if Geiger counters started going off when the construction crew thought they were in a safe zone. Having a post-apocalyptic map could lead to the development of innovative weapons. A nuclear weapon launcher might be incredibly dangerous, yet players would likely seek it. While swarms of foes aren’t something we’d often recommend for a battle royale, they could prove useful here.
3. Flat Terrain Map With Max Resources
Having a terrain that is simply a flat, wide-open field may be a lot of fun, although it does sound like an experimental limited-time mode. You would test players’ construction abilities like never before in this Fortnite Creative Map.
Games will likely devolve into a function Objectof maps format, increasing the already erratic nature of matches. With the storm rushing in and few natural barriers, we anticipate players would have to do more than protect themselves, pushing their inventiveness and leading them to create structures with mobility in mind rather than the immobile fortifications they’re used to seeing in Fortnite.
For this to operate, players would need to start with many resources, if not an endless amount. It could be challenging to include weapon scavenging in this type of area, but players could use weapon caches as hot dropzones to begin expanding from. With this map style, you can highlight one of Fortnite’s strengths and defining features.
