How does SenpAI calculate win probabilities?
Our win probabilities are calculated by using machine learning techniques on competitive League of Legends games that are played between years 2020 and 2015.
For both teams, first their performance in the last 5 games are extracted. These performance measures consist of various features such as their mean gold difference relating to the opponent for the games in the series, binary values whether the team got first blood/turrets in each of the games, how many times Baron Nashor has been slain, team region etc.
These measurements are normalized according to the game duration so the metric of a match can be compared with another in a meaningful way. Using 5-fold cross-validation, our out-of-fold accuracy is at 0.641. So in general we expect 6 out of 10 predictions to be the correct outcome.
Keep in mind that before any League of Legends games start we can only make predictions according to a teams’ performance on the previous match and these predictions lack the information of champion picks, bans, or lane match-ups.
Additionally, our models are trained in order to be robust and make generalized performance, so that it’s performance is meaningful in a vast number of match-ups rather than a few outcomes.
We hope to move from the random choice probability of 0.5 towards our validation accuracy of 0.641 as more games are completed for the upcoming Worlds 2020!

Match Recap – Winner: G2
Machi was looking for a win after their loss against TL yesterday. G2 was hyped up due to their backdoor win against SN.
G2 started off with a setup in top lane where Camille got the first blood on PK’s Mordekaiser. Machi’s Graves got the revenge for Morde by going after Jankos in his own territory. It was not acceptable by the first blood holder Wunder, he shortly avenged his team mate.
9 minutes in, and a storm started to brew when Caps got killed in the mid lane. MCX moved onto get the Herald, winning the first attempts of fight yet Micky got involved along with Perkz until Caps gets back to the fight from their base. Trades here and there, G2 was approx 2.7K ahead of their opponent by the time the 4th dragon appeared. Caps again, as the late-comer, G2 swept the fight to an ace along with winning the dragon.
Mikyx then got caught by MCX, started to fall apart with the arrival of G2, however pulled themselves back up to win the fight on a 3-2 trade. G2 then advanced into MCX’s jungle to sweep them away yet again, to secure the first inhibitor. MCX was not late to respond to this, as they slew the Baron to face G2 while they were trying to take down one more inhibitor. It was going back and forth with G2 having the overall advantage, thus they caught their opponent once more in their own jungle to go for the immediate destruction of MCX’s Nexus.

Match Recap – Winner: SN
TL was more than ready to win this fight for themselves as NA fans were not gonna accept yet another loss. SN on the other hand, had just lost to G2, which TL themselves also lost against, and they were there to show that this is not over yet.
SN went up to tear top lane down to score the first blood in the game. TL’s response was not late as Syndra teleported to take Jax down to finish the fight.
SN took the first dragon at 8 minutes then Galio went after Rakan to slay him in the bot lane. SN’s bot lane duo responded to this by getting Twitch right under his turret while SofM was getting the Herald.
SN was dominating the bot side, as they continued to take another dragon along with yet another Herald. The snowballing fest was just starting; as at 19 minutes they also went to get the 3rd dragon accompanied by a mid lane tower.
Anything left on the Rift that we could collect?
A 7.5K gold lead along with three drakes, two heralds and five towers down, SN was looking like a storm that could not be stopped by TL in any way.
Baron and Ocean Soul was up on the map by this time when TL desperately needed at least one them. SN killed 3 of TL while they were trying to take down the dragon and moved onto the Baron. Here Jensen, made an incredible move to make a blind call to steal the Baron and succeeded.
Things were not really going well for TL even when Tactical got huafeng down with a bounty of 900 gold since there was a 10K gold deficit.
SN went up to get the Ocean Soul afterwards and TL’s Nexus was over in seconds. TL had the worst faces you could ever seen as they have a lot to discuss and the weight of their fans on their shoulder while SN seemed at ease.

PSG quickly responded to this by taking Graves down at the Scuttle. Kaiwing and River went onto top lane to setup a gank on Nuguri’s Kennen, managed to kill him yet Kindred also lost his life due to tower’s ferocious attacks.
Kindred went after Senna then rotated towards the top lane again to get Kennen with Nautilus’ help. PSG had nothing in their way to get Herald.
While going into the dragon, Kindred got caught by DWG and the first dragon got killed by Graves. Graves then went onto get Lulu in the top lane.
