VALORANT Best Weapons – Top Weapons Tier List

As we are closer than ever to the release date of VALORANT, we have recollected our thoughts upon the weapons tier and their performances during the closed beta. There are currently 18 weapons in VALORANT. The choice upon them changes according to gameplay and player preferences yet here at SenpAI, we have listed them according to their pick rate, power, and efficiency.

Check our VALORANT Weapons Guide for detailed stats for each weapon.

S Tier

  • Phantom (2900 Creds)
  • Vandal (2900 Creds)
  • Operator (4500 Creds)
Valorant Best Weapons

Phantom is like the big brother of Spectre. It has the biggest magazine among Rifles, better recoil and quite suitable for medium sprayers.

  • Magazine Capacity: 30
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 11 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (1.25x) Zoom, Slight Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 9.9 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Vandal

Players’ favorite, Vandal takes only one headshot to kill a full armored enemy. Most pro players loved the weapon since it is effective at all distances and the most optimized among all weapons.

  • Magazine Capacity: 25
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 9.25 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (1.25x) Zoom, Slight Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 8.32 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Operator

Operator is the finest AWP in VALORANT and is the absolute choice of snipers. If you are skilled in scope shots, prefer this weapon.

  • Magazine Capacity: 5
  • Wall Penetration: High
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 0.75 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (2.5x, 5x) Dual Zoom, Significant Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 0.75 rounds/sec

A Tier

  • Ghost (500 Creds)
  • Sheriff (800 Creds)
  • Spectre (1600 Creds)
  • Guardian (2700 Creds)
Valorant Weapons Guide - Ghost

Ghost is probably the most stable and effective sidearm in VALORANT. It’s often used in eco-rounds. Since it is quite accurate and can get kills on headshots, Ghost is a viable choice.

  • Magazine Capacity: 15
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 6.75 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Sheriff

Some consider Sheriff the best of sidearms since it is effective at all ranges. You can get one-tap headshots. If you trust your aim, you can go all-in and get a Sheriff on the first-round or eco-rounds. The downside here is that Sheriff costs 800 Creds.

  • Magazine Capacity: 6
  • Wall Penetration: High
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 4 rounds/sec

B Tier

  • Stinger (1000 Creds)
  • Bulldog (2100 Creds)
  • Marshal (1100 Creds)
  • Ares (1600 Creds)
  • Odin (3200 Creds)
Valorant Weapons Guide - Stinger

Stinger can take 3 headshots to on close range and can be a choice of sprayers on the second round. Yet it is not stable like Spectre.

  • Magazine Capacity: 20
  • Wall Penetration: Low
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 18 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (1.15x) Zoom Mode, 4-Round Burst, Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 4 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Bulldog

A decent rifle to get on hard rounds where you need to go eco. However, Bulldog is still no match for others in the Rifle family.

  • Magazine Capacity: 24
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 9.15 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (1.25x) Zoom, 3-Round Burst
    Fire Rate: 3 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Marshal

Scouters unite! Marshal takes 2 hits to the chest to kill enemies with armor. A decent one yet cannot beat Operator.

  • Magazine Capacity: 5
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 1.5 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: (2.5x) Dual Zoom, Significant Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 1.2 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Ares

Lighter one of the Heavy family, Ares is a spray fun. Since the recoil is quite a lot the accuracy is low as well. You can choose it if your enemies get together often and made it a pattern.

  • Magazine Capacity: 50
  • Wall Penetration: High
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 10 to 13 rounds/sec (increasing during fire)
  • Alternative Fire: (1.25x) Zoom, Slight Spread Reduction
Fire Rate: 10 to 13 rounds/sec (increasing during fire)
Valorant Weapons Guide - Odin

The priciest of the Heavy family. Spray foods would love to use it. Odin is not really good at headshots as his brother Ares. Yet it can be used to deny zones. Just the sound terrifies foes.

  • Magazine Capacity: 100
  • Wall Penetration: High
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 12 to 15.6 rounds/sec (increasing during fire)
  • Alternative Fire: (1.25x) Zoom, Slight Spread Reduction
    Fire Rate: 15.6 rounds/sec

C Tier

  • Classic (FREE)
  • Judge (1500 Creds)

Frankly, Classic is only used and preferred on the first round and maybe on eco rounds where your economy is so bad that you can’t even afford a Ghost.

  • Magazine Capacity: 12
  • Wall Penetration: Low
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 6.75 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: 3-Round Burst, Spread Increase
    Fire-Rate: 2.22 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Judge

An auto shotgun that is quite effective on close-range yet is not viable in other circumstances.

  • Magazine Capacity: 7
  • Wall Penetration: Medium
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 3.5 rounds/sec

D Tier

Small magazine, uncontrollable for most of the players. Frenzy is an absolute madness in inexperienced hands. Let’s not buy it unless you’re a fan.

  • Magazine Capacity: 13
  • Wall Penetration: Low
  • Primary Fire: Full-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 10 rounds/sec

Actually, no one knows why Shorty exists. Sadly. A few players have their hands on it. But it has a cool Viper skin so…

  • Magazine Capacity: 2
  • Wall Penetration: Low
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 3.3 rounds/sec
Valorant Weapons Guide - Bucky

Bucky’s reload is like a lifetime. The weapon is not viable in combats and rarely picked up.

  • Magazine Capacity: 5
  • Wall Penetration: Low
  • Primary Fire: Semi-Automatic
    Fire-Rate: 1.1 rounds/sec
  • Alternative Fire: Semi-Automatic Air Burst
    Fire Rate: 1.1 rounds/sec

E Tier

VALORANT Skins - Melee

It is obvious that the Tactical Knife has the lower tier. You can still get kills and Shaco-kills get you a bonus yet it would be too tiring to go ahead with only a knife in your hand.
