Welcome to the Valorant Vandal Guide. Vandal is one of the 17 different weapons available in Valorant.
The Vandal is an automatic rifle that costs 2900 credits and has a decent fire rate that is most effective at longer ranges.
Vandal has no damage falloff, so the damage it deals with remains constant no matter how far or close the target is.
When compared to the Phantom, the Vandal is extremely effective at longer ranges due to the lack of falloff damage, allowing you to kill the opponent with a single headshot at all ranges.
The recoil of a Vandal can be difficult to control, making it an unwelcome weapon for spraying down enemies. The Vandal excels at tap and burst firing.
Unlike the Phantom, tracers on the Vandal are visible; your enemies can find your location if you are shooting through the smokes.
The Vandal favours an aggressive playstyle and proves deadly in the hands of a skilled aimer.
Many duelist players choose the Vandal over the Phantom because the TTK (time to kill) of the Vandal is better in most cases when compared to the Phantom.
“Extended fire results in less stability, however. The Vandal retains high damage over distance and rewards those who focus single shots at a target’s head.”
Alt Firing with the Vandal
Aiming down the sights magnifies the weapon 1.25x.
Aiming down the sights with a Vandal reduces your movement speed and fire rate. You can observe a slight spread and recoil reduction while ADS.
The crosshair follows the recoil when you aim down sights.
When to use the Vandal
Vandal is most efficient on longer maps like Breeze, Icebox, and Fracture. It rivals the Phantom on all these maps.
Vandal is best suited when you are playing agents like Jett, Reyna, and Chamber. These agents have the ability to quickly get a kill on the enemy and get back to safety; the Vandal will suit this style of gameplay.
If you are confident with your raw aiming skill and have had enough practice, the Vandal might be a better rifle to use.

- Do not blindly shoot through the smokes when using a Vandal; enemies can see your tracers and can shoot back.
- Concentrate on crosshair placement; keep your crosshair at head level at all times.
- Vandal favours players with good aim. Go to the range and practice your spray pattern, burst and tap firing on the firing range bots.
