VALORANT Weapons Guide – All Weapons and Stats

*UP-TO-DATE. (patch 0.50)

Riot Games’ new FPS VALORANT is on a roller-coaster! The drops which you can obtain a key to join the closed-beta are still available at related streamers. If you have just got your closed-beta access and would like to surf on some guidance before you get into the heat of arenas, you are at the right place!

We had previously shared the main features and characters of VALORANT in our article: VALORANT Agents Guide – All Agents and Their Abilities. Don’t forget to check it out before going on details about our following VALORANT Weapons Guide.

Aside from The Tactical Knife and 2 Shields acting as a defensive mechanism, VALORANT has 6 basic Weapon Classes to choose from:

  • Sidearm: A collection of handguns originally worn for immediate access. Short ranged, low fire rates and low wall penetration yet cost-effective.
  • Primary: Your preferred weapon to fight on the arena besides your abilities and sidearm. Primary weapons are divided into 5 sub-classes:
    • SMG
    • Shotgun
    • Rifle
    • Sniper
    • Heavy

How to Shop Weapons In-Game

Along with the abilities of your Agent, you can also purchase weapons from the same in-game menu. As you spawn on your designated side with your team, VALORANT prompts you to press “B” to access the shop.

The game assigns you “The Tactical Knife” by default as well as the only free weapon called “Classic”. You will have 30 seconds to choose from the armory at the start of every round. As the game progresses, you earn Creds from kills, assists and overall performance to spend on abilities, weapons and shields. The main thing is to spend wisely according to your way of using your abilities and guns together however we will discuss it in another article.

Now, let’s take a look at the FULL list of VALORANT Weapons :

Despite the class name “heavy”, these two are in the category of LMGs (Light Machine Guns). Heavy types in VALORANT have a lot of recoils therefore crouching helps better control. On the other hand, your mobilization capacity decreases a lot. Let’s meet veteran FPS players’ popular choices:

MELEES

Tactical Knife: Finally, Valorant offers a Tactical Knife at all times as a “last resort” or for ninja players. Tactical Knife costs no Creds and equipped automatically. There are two ways of damaging your opponent: a light slash attack and a jab which is heavier. Attacks from behind are more effective and kill blows with the knife will be more rewarding than a regular bullet-kill.

Shields: A defensive type of purchase that will grant you extra health points as armor.

  • Light Shield (400 Creds): +25 Armor in addition to your health.
  • Heavy Shield (1000 Creds): +50 Armor in addition to your health.

Taking everything into account

All the weapons considered, Valorant has made a good start especially on creating a wide range for the genre. Sub-classes, various recoil patterns, magazine sizes, and utilities make a generous pool for gamers. Dive into VALORANT and try each weapon until you find the one that suits you best. Use the “Shooting Range” or test your newly-acquired data in the arena itself. Stay tuned for SenpAI’s detailed Valorant Guides!
